2020 Indian Scout sixty is a lightweight, stylish cruiser (a bit smaller than cruiser though), that goes easy on beginners and experts alike. It is one of those cruiser bikes we would rather buy than a Harley Davidson.
In 1897, George M. Hendee founded a bicycle manufacturing company called Hendee Manufacturing Company. The story of how it came to be known as Indian Motorcycle is simple, yet amusing. The company had manufactured a few bikes like Silver King, Silver Queen, and American Indian, out of which Indian became the brand name for all the models. Interestingly, Indian Motorcycles is also one of the oldest American companies to make motorbikes. After Polaris’ acquisition, the brand has been reborn and revamped with brand new technologies and safety features, all the while maintaining the original laid back style.
Similar in looks to the Scout, Scout sixty was launched in 2016, but, the history of Scout goes well beyond in time to 1920. In fact, the 101 Scout, built in 1928, is often called the best motorcycle ever from Indian. Scout sixty has shouldered the legacy and taken it to another notch. No doubt, it is one of the few Indian motorcycles we’d ride over a Harley any day. Inspired by the original Scout from 1920, it comes up with some new updates and features. The core value is the same though – smooth rides with lots of appeal for every age group.
